Countable and Uncountable Nouns (a/an, some/any)
Os substantivos em inglês podem ser contáveis ou incontáveis.
contáveis = coisas que você pode contar. (apples) Os substantivos contáveis podem ser singular (an apple) ou plural (apples).
incontáveis = coisas que você não pode contar. (rice, meat) Os substantivos incontáveis são normalmente usados no singular (não são usados no plural, rices ou meats).
IMPORTANTE: Alguns substantivos podem ser contáveis e incontáveis.

Superlative Form
No Comparativo fazemos a comparação entre duas unidades, onde comparamos uma característica em comum entre eles.
Já no Superlativo a comparação é feita entre uma unidade do grupo e todo o grupo.
Observe os exemplos abaixo:
Ao compararmos dois dos animais acima usamos a forma comparativa normal.
Para destacarmos uma qualidade de um dos animais do grupo devemos usar o Superlativo.
No Superlativo a regra geral para os adjetivos curtos (1sílaba) é acrescentar a terminação EST.
IMPORTANTE: Observe também que no Superlativo devemos sempre acrescentar o artigo THE antes do adjetivo.
Nos exemplos que se seguem perceba a diferença entre as regras do Comparativo e do Superlativo.
Em adjetivos curtos (1 sílaba) terminados em E devemos apenas acrescentar a terminação ST.
Em adjetivos curtos (1 sílaba) terminados em CVC (Consoante - Vogal - Consoante) devemos repetir a última consoante e só então acrescentamos a terminação EST.

Em adjetivos com duas sílabas terminados em Y devemos substitui-ló pela terminação IEST.

Em adjetivos longos (com mais de duas sílabas) devemos colocar a expressão THE MOSTantes do adjetivo.
